NCAA / March Madness

One of the most exciting things about NCAA Basketball is the division 1 tournament. Every year in March the tournament takes place, and with a pool of 68 teams, you can see why it gets the name March Madness. Many people pick a favorite college team, and fill out their bracket accordingly. This bracketology engages the fans, and makes the tournament mean so much more to people

Basketball Today

Basketball has changed a real whole lot from the sport it once was. Back in the day,the sport was a game of fundamentals, straight forward passing,and layups. But today the game is full of dunks and no look passes. Some see this as the simple evolution of a game, but others see this as the depurification of the sport they once loved. But personally, I love seeing the dunks and passes, I think it requires an extreme amount of skill.

Overview

I chose the history of basketball to do my blog on. It was invented by James Naismith, who was looking to make a sport that required skill, and could be played indoors during the New England winter. And so the sport was born, it was originally played with two peach baskets and a soccer ball.
